加藤官房長官は2021年6月17日の記者会見で、ワクチン接種の公的証明（いわゆるワクチンパスポート）について、当面は各国に入国する際に必要な人に対して、7月中旬をめどに書面での交付を可能するように準備を進めることを明らかにしました。発行は記録を管理する市区町村が行います。政府は早ければ、今週にも自治体への説明会を実施するとのことです。接種証明の記載事項は、新型コロナウイルスワクチンの接種記録と接種者に関する事項などとしますが、その詳細については、今後、諸外国の動向などを踏まえて決定します。また、まずは書面での交付としますが、電子交付も検討を進める方向です。
