米国国務省、日本を『渡航中止』に　JALとANA、運航継続

米国務省は現地時間5月24日、日本に対する渡航レベルを最も高い「レベル4」に引き上げ、米国民に対し渡航中止を求めました。日本国内で新型コロナウイルス感染症（COVID-19）が流行していることによるものです。国務省は米CDC（疾病予防管理センター）の渡航健康情報を受け、レベル4に引き下げました。CDCは日本について「ワクチンを接種した場合でもコロナ変異株の感染・拡散のリスクがある」とし、すべての旅行を避けるべきとし、日本へ渡航する場合は、渡航前のワクチン接種を受けるように勧告しました。米国の渡航レベルは引き上げられたものの、JALとANAは米国旅客便のさらなる減便や運休は計画せず、今のところ現状の便数を維持する方針です。両航空会社は旅客機を活用した貨物専用便も運航しており、ANAはこのほか、北米への貨物便に大型貨物機のボーイング777F貨物機を投入しています。

[ US State Department issues no travel advisory to Japan / ANA and JAL keep their flight operations ]

On May 24 (local time), the U.S. Department of State raised the travel level for Japan to "Level 4" and asked U.S. citizens to stop traveling to the country due to the outbreak of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in Japan. The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) said that Japan "poses a risk of transmission and spread of coronavirus strains even if vaccinated" and that all travel should be avoided. If you are planning to travel to Japan, you are advised to get vaccinated before you go. Although the travel level for the U.S. has been raised, JAL and ANA have no plans to further reduce or suspend their U.S. passenger flights and will maintain the current number of flights for now. Both airlines also operate cargo-only flights using passenger planes, and ANA has also introduced a larger freighter Boeing 777F for cargo flights to North America.
