アメリカン航空とユナイテッド航空 試験的にハワイ路線などで、出発前の乗客に新型コロナ検査

アメリカン航空とユナイテッド航空は、国際線回復に向けた取り組みとして、出発乗客に対する新型コロナウイルス検査のテストプログラムを開始します。アメリカン航空は、2020年10月からマイアミ空港発のジャマイカ路線で実施。ユナイテッド航空も10月15日からサンフランシスコ空港でハワイ路線の乗客に対して出発前検査を実施する方向です。15分で結果が判明する空港での当日検査に加えて、乗客自身で採取した検体サンプルを出発72時間以内に事前提出することも可能にします。現在、同航空はサンフランシスコ/ホノルル、カフルイ(マウイ島)、コナ(ハワイ島)の各路線を運航しており、10月15日からはリフエ(カウアイ島)線の運航を再開し、カフルイおよびコナ線を増便します。

American Airlines and United Airlines are launching a new COVID-19 testing program for departing passengers. American Airlines will implement the program on its Jamaica routes from Miami Airport starting from October 2020.

United Airlines will also conduct pre-departure testing at San Francisco Airport on its Hawaii routes starting from October 15. In addition to the same-day testing at the airport, where results will be available in 15 minutes, now it allows passengers to submit their own testing specimens within 72 hours before departure. The airline currently flies to San Francisco/Honolulu, Kahului (Maui Island) and Kona (Hawaii Island), it will resume service to Lihue (Kauai) and will add flights to Kahului and Kona starting from October 15.
