厚生労働省は7月6日、「水際対策上特に懸念すべき変異株に対する指定国・地域」に、新たに19カ国・地域を追加しました。また、10ヶ国・地域に対する措置を変更します。新たに指定されたのは、ザンビア，アルゼンチン，ウルグアイ，エクアドル，キューバ，コロンビア，スリナム，セーシェル，チリ，トリニダード・トバゴ，トルコ，パラグアイ，フィジー，アメリカ（ニューメキシコ州，ユタ州，ワイオミング州），ベネズエラ，ベラルーシ，ボリビア，リビア，ロシア（カレリア共和国，サラトフ州，ニジェゴロド州）。ザンビアからの入国・帰国者には10日間、それ以外からの入国・帰国者には3日間、検疫所が確保する宿泊施設で待機する必要があります。さらに、インドネシアからの入国・帰国者には6日間から10日間、キルギスからの入国・帰国者には3日間から10日間、アラブ首長国連邦からの入国・帰国者には3日間から6日間に、宿泊施設での待機期間を延長します。エジプトからの入国・帰国者には6日間から3日間に宿泊施設での待機期間を短縮します。エストニア、ナイジェリア、フランス、アメリカ（カンザス州、デラウェア州、メイン州）からの入国・帰国者には宿泊施設での待機を求めません。また、「水際対策上特に懸念すべき変異株以外の新型コロナウイルスに対する指定国・地域」に指定されている、カナダ（オンタリオ州），アメリカ（ミネソタ州），ルクセンブルクからの入国・帰国者への宿泊施設での待機を求めません。いずれの措置も、7月9日午前0時以降、実施します。

[Add Newly Four as Designated Countries of Special Concern for Covid-19 Variants]

On July 6, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare (MHLW) added 19 new countries/regions to the list as designated countries of special concern for Covid-19 variants in terms of waterfront countermeasures. In addition, measures for 10 countries/regions will be changed. The newly designated countries are Zambia, Argentina, Uruguay, Ecuador, Cuba, Colombia, Suriname, Seychelles, Chile, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Paraguay, Fiji, the United States (New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming), Venezuela, Belarus, Bolivia, Libya, and Russia (Republic of Karelia, Saratov Oblast, and Nizhegorod Oblast). People entering and returning from Zambia will be required to wait for 10 days, and those entering and returning from other countries will be required to wait for 3 days in accommodation secured by the quarantine station. In addition, the waiting period at the accommodation will be extended from 6 to 10 days for those entering and returning from Indonesia, from 3 to 10 days for those entering and returning from Kyrgyzstan, and from 3 to 6 days for those entering and returning from the United Arab Emirates. For those entering and returning from Egypt, the waiting period in accommodations will be reduced from 6 days to 3 days. Those entering and returning from Estonia, Nigeria, France, and the United States (Kansas, Delaware, and Maine) will not be required to wait in accommodations. In addition, those from Canada (Ontario), the U.S. (Minnesota), and Luxembourg, which are designated as "designated countries/regions for new coronaviruses other than variants of special concern in terms of waterfront countermeasures," will not be required to wait in accommodation. Both measures will be implemented after midnight on July 9.
