ANAは2021年5月24日、羽田発ニューヨーク行きの便(NH110)でデジタル健康認証アプリ「IATAトラベルパス」の実証実験を開始しました。今後、6月6日にかけて、羽田／ニューヨーク線に加えて、羽田／ホノルル線でも搭乗者から参加者を募集し実証を行います。IATAトラベルパスは、国際航空運送協会(IATA)が開発した新型コロナウイルスの検査結果を証明するアプリです。同社国際提携部部長の松下正氏は「各国の入国要件が変化するなかで、IATAトラベルパスは最新の情報がタイムリーに反映されるため、スムーズな出国／入国手続きが可能になる」と説明しています。今後は、関係省庁とも連携を深めながら、航空業界全体として導入に向けて取り組みを進めていく考えを示し、「海外旅行再開の切り札として、できるだけ早く実用化を実現していきたい」と意欲を示しました。ANAでは、ユーザーのニーズを洗い出し、実証から出てくるさまざまなフィードバックを踏まえて、改善を進めていきたい考えです。参加者は、チェックイン時に、陰性証明を含め渡航先の入国要件を満たしていることを示す画面を提示した後、搭乗券を受け取りました。実証段階では、旅客システムと連携していないため、オンラインチェックインはできず、カウンターでアプリを提示する必要があるからです。また、政府機関との連携も進んでいないため、出入国手続きは対象外となります。IATAトラベルパスの実証実験には現時点でANAやJALも含めて航空32社が参加。航空に特化した非接触デジタル健康証明アプリとして導入を目指します。一方、ANAは、航空以外での利用も視野に入れる「コモンパス」の実証も進めているところで、「旅行者に安心感を担保する環境を整えていくことが重要」(松下氏)との考えから、IATAトラベルパスとコモンパスの両軸でデジタル健康証明の実用化を進めていく方針です。

[ ANA starts demonstration experiment of IATA Travel Pass, a digital health authentication application - as a trump for the resumption of overseas travel ]

On May 24, 2021, ANA began a demonstration of the IATA Travel Pass digital health authentication application on a flight from Haneda to New York (NH110). From now until June 6, in addition to the Haneda/New York route, the demonstration will be conducted on the Haneda/Honolulu route by recruiting participants from among passengers. IATA Travel Pass is an application developed by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to certify test results for the new coronavirus.
Mr. Matsushita indicated his idea to work toward introduce IATA Travel Pass in the travel industry as a whole and realize the practical use of the system as soon as possible as a trump for the resumption of overseas travel. ANA hopes to identify the needs of users and make improvements based on the various feedback coming out of the demonstration. Participants received their boarding passes after presenting a screen showing that they met the entry requirements of the destination country, including negative proof, at check-in. This is because in the demonstration phase, online check-in is not possible because it is not linked to passenger systems and the app must be presented at the counter. In addition, immigration procedures are not covered as the system is not yet linked to government agencies. At present, 32 airlines, including ANA and JAL, are participating in the IATA Travel Pass verification experiment. The aim is to introduce it as a contactless digital health certification application specialized for aviation. On the other hand, ANA is currently working on the Common Pass verification experiment, which will be used for non-aeronautical purposes as well. Based on Mr. Matsushita's belief that "it is important to create an environment that ensures a sense of security for travelers," ANA plans to promote the practical application of digital health certification through both the IATA Travel Pass and Common Pass.
