関空、自動PCR検査ロボット設置 川崎重工業製、今夏稼働へ
関西空港を運営する関西エアポート（KAP）は5月20日、自動PCR検査ロボットシステムを空港内に設置しました。国際線出発客向けで、約80分で検査が可能です。医療機関による検査開始は今年の夏ごろをを予定しています。検査ロボットシステムは川崎重工業（7012）製で、第1ターミナル4階屋外のバス降車場付近に設置されました。16時間稼働の場合、1日最大2500検体を検査できます。検査方式は世界標準のリアルタイムRT-PCR検査方式で、ロボットによる無人化と自動化により、大量の検査を高精度で実施できるとしています。システム本体の大きさは長さ12.2メートル，幅2.5メートル，高さ2.9メートルで40フィートコンテナに収まり、移動もできるようにされています。川崎重工業によりますと、最初に導入した愛知県の藤田医科大学では、今年3月から検査に使用しているとのことです。関空内には近畿大学医学部の医院があり、PCR検査を受け付けていますが、現在、検査機器は空港外にあるため、短時間で検査結果を受け取ることが難しい状況です。

Kansai Airport (KAP), the operator of Kansai International Airport, installed an automatic PCR inspection robot system in the airport on May 20. The system is for passengers departing on international flights and can perform the test in about 80 minutes. Testing by medical institutions is scheduled to start in the summer of this year. The inspection robot system, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries (7012), was installed near the bus terminal on the fourth floor of Terminal 1.
The inspection robot system can test up to 2,500 specimens per day when operated for 16 hours. The testing method is the world-standard real-time RT-PCR testing method, and the system can perform a large number of tests with high accuracy through robotization and automation. The system itself is 12.2 meters long, 2.5 meters wide, and 2.9 meters high, and can fit into a 40-foot container, allowing it to be moved.
According to Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Fujita Medical School in Aichi Prefecture, which first introduced the device, has been using it for testing since March of this year. There is a clinic at the Kinki University School of Medicine in Kansai International Airport that accepts PCR tests, but since the testing equipment is currently located outside the airport, it is difficult to receive test results in a short time.
