デルタ航空 ワクチン輸送に向け米国内ハブ空港で体制強化、集中監視機能エリア、医薬品専用チャーター便も
デルタ航空は、同航空のハブとなるアトランタ、デトロイト、ロサンゼルス、ニューヨーク(JFK)、シアトルの各空港で、新型コロナウイルス・ワクチンの輸送に向けて体制を強化しています。24時間365日の集中監視機能を備えたワクチン・コントロール・タワーを設置。医薬品専用チャーター便の準備も進めています。同航空は数ヶ月前からワクチン・タスクフォースを立ち上げ、医療機関や製薬会社と協力し準備を進め、夏から秋にかけては試験ワクチンの輸送にも携わってきました。同航空は国際航空運送協会(IATA)が定める医薬品輸送認証(CEM)を取得し、各空港では大規模な貨物倉庫とワクチン保管のための冷蔵施設を備えています。

Delta Air Lines is strengthening its structure for the distribution of COVID-19 vaccines at its hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York City (JFK) and Seattle, installing vaccine control towers with centralized 24/7 monitoring. Preparations are also underway for dedicated pharmaceutical charter flights.
The airline formed a vaccine task force several months ago and has been working with medical and pharmaceutical companies in transporting test vaccines throughout the summer and fall. The airline has received the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Certificate of Medical Transport (CEM) and has extensive cargo warehousing and refrigeration facilities for vaccine storage at each airport.
